![]() 300 BlackOut is fun round to play with but can take some tuning to get them to shoot a (weak) subsonic round with proper ejection then turn. I have an Odin Works Adjustable (2.1 - 4.2oz) AR15 Lite Buffer on the way for Monday delivery. That is almost impossible to answer without firing the gun with the buffer spring that you have in in the gun, with the bolt carrier that you have in the gun, with the ammo that you intend to use. ![]() Also the bolt will not lock open after the last round. ![]() Suppressed - Removed 3 weights from buffer (no weight in buffer) - will run semi-auto for about 3 rounds and will either go into battery on an empty chamber or catch the round halfway. Suppressed - Removed 2 weights from buffer - no change Suppressed - Removed 1 weight from buffer - no change Bushmaster Lower (circa 2007-ish) with Mil-Spec buffer and M4/Car-15 Extra Power Buffer Spring from. Rifle Configuration: - AAC 16' Upper 1:7 Twist. Fires round, ejects casing, will not chamber next round. It is Commercial ammo from Right2BearArms. It will either go fully into battery on an empty chamber or will catch the round halfway into battery between the feed ramp and magazine. Issue: Failure to cycle subsonic 208 gr A-max (haven't tried 220gr yet). Suppressed - will eject brass no deflector strikes about 3:00, but will not cycle next round out of the magazine into the chamber. USING A 338 PROJECTILE, MODIFIED CREEDMOOR BRASS, AND A 308 BOLT FACE, 8.6 BLK PACKS A PUNCH IN BOTH SUBSONIC AND SUPERSONIC ROUNDS, EVEN OUT OF SHORT BARREL. Unsuppressed - stove pipes ejected brass every time. Supersonic 300BLK can have nearly three times the kinetic energy as a subsonic 300BLK. With bullet weights in the 190-220 grain range, and a muzzle velocity below 1,100 FPS, 300 Blackout is one of the best. Subsonic 300 Blackout has some of the best terminal ballistics of any subsonic round. 300BLK comes in two flavors: supersonic and subsonic. When shooting your 300 blackout suppressed you'll likely want to use subsonic ammo to make the gun quieter. Here are the relevant specs: Faxon 10.5 barrel in 300 Blackout with pistol length gas system. A simple quick cleaning and putting fresh lube in fixed the problem. They are also much quieter than any center fire rifle no matter how well suppressed. Long story short, it had gotten dirty enough in those 212 rounds to cause enough drag on the bolt that it would usually fail to completely lock into battery. On the other hand nothing beats the suppressed 10/22 or 22lr bolt rifle with a decent silencer and subsonic ammo for low price and low noise. 300BLK is the most versatile centerfire cartridge in existence and an excellent HD choice. Subsonic 223 is a waste of effort when the subsonic 300 whisper/blackout is readily available and does everything better. 7" 300BO Palmetto State Complete Upper and lower kit with 'Full Auto' BCG, standard carbine buffer, and spring.Īmend 2 5.56 Magazine and Magpul 300BO Magazine If you’ve chosen 300BLK to help accomplish this goal, you’re on the right track.
